Having read the first 4 books of the MacGruder series and having fallen in love with the characters as well as the setting, I was on pins and needles waiting for this latest edition. I was not disappointed! Diana Cosby fills her stories with rich landscapes and characters that you love, or love to hate, depending on their roles. The history of Scotland is filled with struggle and this story follows Griffin and Rois as they too struggle with fear, war, distrust, deceit, and the greed of a King who wants to rule their little corner of the world. It's truly hard to imagine the horrible conditions the people of Griffin and Rois's time survived, while still finding happiness. Diana has captured that struggle as well as the pride of a great people. Please Diana, tell me there will be more! Loved this one!Product details

While I enjoyed this book. I didn't love it - it seemed to lack something - but I don't know exactly what...
It was well written, flowed nicely and had a likable hero and heroine. I am not sure what my problem is, I just couldn't get as " into" it as I did the other books in the series
The next book looks to be a prequel - I will definitely be picking that up!!
Another wonderful story from Diana Cosby. I have read all of her stories and enjoyed every single one of them. I can't wait until I can read her next book "His Enchantment" which just came out. There were parts where I laughed and there were other parts where I cried and then there were parts where the suspense had taken place. I could wait to find out what was going to happen next.
I have read all 5 of this series and they are definitely "keepers". I have even pre-ordered the 6th book in this series, even though it goes a little further into Scottish Fairies, which I usually do not read. However, I cannot have read all 5 and not read the 6th. Hope it is as good as the first 5 which were more realistic and less "fairies". I highly recommend this series.
Excellent book a must read and with each word that is read you really are hooked, what an excellent writer! I never want to miss a book in every series and I highly recommend this book and all books by this author! Fantastic book, you will not want to put it down, I know I didn't and I wanted more and I feel that you will also! Great, Great, Book!
I read His Seduction and loved it very much. This is the first book that I read from Diana Cosby.
It's a romance filled with intrigue and action, a beautiful Scottish adventure. This is the fifth book in the MacGruders series, a real page turner. Could not put it down.I loved her characters Rois and Griffin and found that this writer is very descriptive in her style of writing. She nicely blended her other characters from her previous book into this story. It is well written, her plot was well developed.an amazing paranormal as I like them. I recommend this book if you love Scottish romances.
Another good fast read. I could see some issues with this story as well, but she did turn some of those around at the end. I was wondering how she could give him a Scottish bride and not have the King suspicious of him, especially since his sister married a Scot. I really like Griffin, even though he was not really a big character in the other stories was hoping his story would be good. As stated in other reviews if you are a perfectionist or what something in-depth, you will not like these. Next the last book which also could have been the first book since it is about the MacGruder’s grandmother and grandfather.

Diana Cosby does it again with the next book in the MacGruder Series. I will not describe the contents (as others have already posted). Ms. Cosby continues to keep you wanting more in this series. You fall completely for the characters in each of the books, and this is no exception. She brings not only the characters, but the scenery and history to life. She also includes the characters you had grown to love previously in the new book, as well. You feel their pain, but also their happiness. Of course, it helps to have those steamy sex scenes and Highlanders. Ms. Cosby always keeps you wanting more, and she doesn't disappoint. The only thing I will say is that it always seems such a long time to wait for the next book (His Enchantment, which will be out December 19, 2013.) The books are stand alone, but I love starting a series in order, which to me only adds to the enjoyment. Again, Ms. Cosby has a winner.
